This penne with salami, basil and parmesan recipe is dead easy, but no one has to know. It's awesome serving such a great crowd pleaser knowing you didn't spend hours in the kitchen making it.

ingredients

  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 250 g (1 cup) penne, dried or fresh
  • 175 g Olymel salami, thinly sliced and cut into wide strips
  • 8 cherry tomatoes, cut in two
  • 2 tablespoon fresh basil, slivered
  • 50 g parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 500 g (2 cups) penne, dried or fresh
  • 350 g Olymel salami, thinly sliced and cut into wide strips
  • 16 cherry tomatoes, cut in two
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, slivered
  • 100 g parmesan cheese, grated
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 750 g (3 cups) penne, dried or fresh
  • 525 g Olymel salami, thinly sliced and cut into wide strips
  • 24 cherry tomatoes, cut in two
  • 1/3 cup fresh basil, slivered
  • 150 g parmesan cheese, grated
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1000 g (4 cups) penne, dried or fresh
  • 700 g Olymel salami, thinly sliced and cut into wide strips
  • 32 cherry tomatoes, cut in two
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil, slivered
  • 200 g parmesan cheese, grated
  • 350 g Olymel salami, thinly sliced and cut into wide strips
  • 500 g penne, dried or fresh
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped fine
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) olive oil
  • 16 cherry tomatoes, cut in half
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, slivered
  • 100 g parmesan, shaved
  • salt and fresh ground pepper

instructions

  1. Cook pasta in big pot of boiling salted water to the “al dente” stage. Drain pasta, setting aside 1 cup of cooking water.
  2. Heat oil in large frying pan, add garlic and cherry tomatoes. Cook, stirring, for 2 minutes. Add pepper to taste. Add salami and stir thoroughly.
  3. Add cooked pasta, cooking water and basil. Mix well, add parmesan, mix and serve in pasta bowls, topped with more parmesan if you like.
