To help your kids get into cooking, ask them to lend a hand with this penne with Spicy Italian sausage. It's easy to make and the rewards are tremendous.

ingredients

  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, leaf
  • 1 zucchini (small), sliced lengthwise
  • 1/2 onion, cut in quarters
  • 2 cups penne, cooked “al dente”
  • 1/2 red pepper, quartered
  • 2 1/2 ml (1/2 teaspoon) romarin
  • 1/2 pack (225 g) Amoré sausage Spicy Italian
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil, leaf
  • 2 zucchinis (small), sliced lengthwise
  • 1 onion, cut in quarters
  • 4 cups penne, cooked “al dente”
  • 1 red pepper, quartered
  • 5 ml (1 teaspoon) romarin
  • 1 pack (450 g) Amoré sausage Spicy Italian
  • 3/4 cup fresh basil, leaf
  • 3 zucchinis (small), sliced lengthwise
  • 1 onion, cut in quarters
  • 6 cups penne, cooked “al dente”
  • 1 1/2 red peppers, quartered
  • 7 ml (1 1/2 teaspoon) romarin
  • 1 1/2 packs (675 g) Amoré sausages Spicy Italian
  • 1 cup fresh basil, leaf
  • 4 zucchinis (small), sliced lengthwise
  • 2 onions, cut in quarters
  • 8 cups penne, cooked “al dente”
  • 2 red peppers, quartered
  • 10 ml (2 teaspoon) romarin
  • 2 packs (900 g) Amoré sausages Spicy Italian
  • 1 package (450g) Olymel Spicy Italian Sausages
  • 4 cups penne, cooked “al dente”
  • 1 large red bell pepper, cut in large quarters
  • 2 small zucchini, sliced lengthwise
  • 1 medium onion, cut in large quarters
  • 3 tbsp. (45 ml) olive oil,
  • 1 tsp. dried rosemary and freshly ground salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves

instructions

  1. Cook sausages following instructions on packaging and set aside to cool down.
  2. Cut sausages in two lengthwise, then cut them in thick slices.
  3. Grill sausages on the barbecue or in the oven and keep warm.

Grilled Vegetables

  1. In a bowl, combine vegetables, 2 tbsp. olive oil and dried rosemary and season to taste.
  2. Grill vegetables on barbecue and cut them in fine strips after grilling them. In a saucepan, heat up the remaining olive oil and add the cooked penne, sausages and vegetables.
  3. Set in four bowls and top with fresh basil leaves.
